Dr. Mazen Hassounah

Chairman

Dr. Mazen Hassounah was elected as the Chairman of SHUAA Capital Saudi Arabia in 2020. He is the Managing Partner of "Mawakher Development Company", a project development company based in Riyadh, and is the Managing director of Abdullatif Alissa Group Holding Company.  He served as a board director and Chairman of Audit & Compliance Committee during the period from 2013 to 2018.  

Dr. Hassounah has over 36 years of experience in engineering, planning, corporate advisory, investment banking, asset management and financial services in various academic and non-academic positions in Saudi Arabia, Canada and the UK. Prior to his current positions, he held the position of CEO & Managing Director of Rana Investment Company during the period from 2000 to 2008, and the position of Deputy CEO during the period from 1995 to 2000.

Dr. Hassounah is also a board member of Abdullatif Alissa Group Holding Company,  Al Yusr Leasing & Financing Company, Best Trading Company and the Arab Palestinian Investment Company. Further, for several years, Dr. Hassounah served as a board member of Ettihad Etisalat (Mobily) and AXA Cooperative Insurance Company, and as a member of the Investment Committee of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Dr. Mazen holds Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Petroleum & Minerals in Dhahran, KSA, and a Masters and Phd in Planning from the University of Toronto, Canada.

Wafik is the Chief Executive Officer at SHUAA Capital psc.

He joined the Group in May 2023 from Credit Suisse, where he was a Managing Director in charge of Investment Banking and Capital Markets across the Middle East and North Africa region. 

Wafik advised on high-profile transactions in the region across M&A and ECM, including Omantel’s USD 2.2 billion acquisition of a stake in Zain Group, ADQ’s USD 740 million acquisition of Amoun Pharmaceutical, Noon’s USD 335 million acquisition of Namshi, Careem’s USD 500 million private placement, Aramco USD 29.4 billion IPO, etc.

Wafik holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from ESCP Europe, Paris.

Ammar Bakheet

Ammar Bakheet

Independent Member

Ammar Bakheet was elected as a Board member of SHUAA Capital Saudi Arabia in 2022.

Ammar currently is the CEO and founder of Raqamyah Platform and member of several funds. 

Ammar has over 22 years of experience in the field of investment companies, he founded one of the first SAMA regulated peer to peer (P2P) lending platforms in Saudi Arabia.

Ammar holds Bachelor of Science from King Saud University and Master of Business from Warwick Business School.

Natasha Hannoun

Managing Director

Natasha Hannoun is the Managing Director of SHUAA Capital Saudi Arabia since 31 January 2024. 

Natasha has broad experience in advisory, origination, structuring and execution across multiple asset classes including Private Equity and Debt Investments, Real Estate and Fixed Income.

Over the last five years, in her previous role as the Head of Debt of SHUAA Capital psc, she has structured over USD 7 billion in financing including last mile and mezzanine financing.

Prior to joining the Group in 2014, Natasha was part of the Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory team at Deloitte Corporate Finance Advisory in Dubai.

Natasha holds an MSc in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Bristol in the UK with a year at University of Bologna, Italy.

Ziad Mansour

Board Member

Ziad is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at SHUAA Capital PSC.

In 2007, following a successful three-year tenure as a Back Office Section Head at Blominvest Bank, he joined SHUAA Capital PSC where he became an integral part of the operations team in both the Capital Market and Asset Management divisions.

In 2012 he was promoted to Head of Operations, and subsequently to Head of Operations and IT in 2017.

With nearly two decades of professional experience, Ziad has occupied various roles within SHUAA, consistently showcasing efficacy in executing strategic plans, identifying as well as implementing enhancement opportunities across multiple lines of business.

Ziad holds an MBA from KEDGE Business School – Bordeaux France.
